Blueberries
PATRIOT
– Early, large, tangy sweet berry, 3 – 5 ft. tall bush.
Patriot was selected for home gardeners who desire a
cold-hardy variety that bears consistent crops. It is
adaptable to many soil types and may perform better in
wetter soils than many other varieties; though don’t site it
in a boggy site during the winter months. Patriot makes an
excellent landscape variety with its showy white blooms in
the spring, dark green summer foliage, and fiery orange-red
fall colors. Fall color is fiery red, yellow, and orange.

SPARTAN
– Early,
large, tangy sweet berry, 4 – 6 ft. tall bush. Spartan is
one of the most attractive, easy to pick and best flavored
blueberries, making it a favorite at farm market stands and
with home gardeners. Spartan can be particular about soil
types, requiring a site with light, well-drained soils and
abundant organic matter. Fall color is yellow, orange.

BLUECROP
– Mid, large, sweet berry, 4 - 6 ft. tall bush. Bluecrop is
considered the best all around variety for adaptability,
consistent yields, high quality fruit and disease
resistance. Bluecrop is perhaps the most widely planted
variety in the U.S. Fall color is red. Zone 4 to 7
Duke
– Early,
medium-large sized fruit, 4 to 6 ft. tall bush. Duke is a
heavy, consistent producer with an attractive, firm, light
blue high quality berry. Ripens very early.
JERSEY
– Late, medium sized, sweet, 6 – 8 ft. tall bush. Jersey is
one of the oldest and most widely grown of all varieties, a
favorite for home gardeners wanting an easy to grow bush
that produces a reliably heavy late season crops year after
year. This bush tolerates a wide range of soil types, and
the medium sized, sweet tasting fruit is a favorite for
fresh eating and baking. Fall color is orange flame. Zone
4 to 7
BLUEGOLD
– An outstanding midseason variety of blueberry with
exceptionally firm, sweet, flavorful and uniform sized
berries. Because Bluegold has a suprising high production
and a heavy fruiting habit of truly superior fruit, growers
refer to it as the “mortgage lifter” or “Bluegold”. In
storage, Bluegold has maintained good quality for up to 5
weeks! This compact, round bush grows to 4 ft. tall and has
unusual yellow fall foliage and yellow winter wood, makes it
perfect for landscaping and a year round beauty. Zone 4-7
SUNSHINE BLUE
– Mid-season, medium sized berry, 3 ft. tall bush. This
semi-dwarf, versatile evergreen (semi-evergreen in colder
winters) blueberry features showy hot pink flowers that fade
to white in spring, yielding large crops of sweet delicious
berries. Makes a good container plant or perfect addition
to the landscape. Zone 5-9
Northsky
– Mid-season, grows to 2 ft. tall and about 2 ft. wide.
Berries are small and have that rich “wild” blueberry sweet
flavor. Perfect for containers or incorporating into the
landscape, it offers three seasons of color. Snow-white
blooms and dense, glossy green foliage appear in the spring,
deep sky blue berries ripen in July, and leaves turn
brilliant red in autumn. Zone 3-7
Top
Hat
– Mid-late season. Sweet 1/2” dusky blue berries, grows to
2” tall and 2 ft. wide. Top Hat is perfect for growing in a
pot on your patio. Beautiful blooms in late spring, glossy
green foliage in summer, yummy berries, striking fall
foliage, then colored stems in the winter. Good fresh
eating, jam and baking. Zone 5-8
