FLORA FAUNA & FLAVORS
Machias Nursery is proud to present a fundraiser for
the Snohomish Food Bank at 6:00 pm on June 22nd
at the Snohomish Senior Center, 506 4th
St. If you support the good work that the Food Bank
does, please purchase your ticket at Machias Nursery
and come for an incredible evening. Each ticket
purchased will go into a raffle and the winner will
receive a beautiful container and a gift certificate
from Machias Nursery. We’ll have wine and beer,
plus delicious hors d’oeurves for you to enjoy while
you peruse the silent auction table.
The silent auction has wonderful offerings such as:
A basket of locally made goat's milk soap & lotion,
Mini-garden planter from Machias Nursery, a basket
of wheat bags (for muscle aches) that you can heat
in microwave or freeze, Alpaca gloves & scarves,
Fred Rowe’s exquisite chocolates, 8 hours of
weeding, trimming, and general yard cleanup by Chris
& Aleta (4 hrs. each), dog goodie basket, basket of
local Honey, and a basket of outdoor living
items. (More items will be added).
You’ll be entertained by a beautiful short film by
local producers, Sharon Howard and Mike Rosen.
Their work, including seven programs that celebrate
wildlife around the world, have won more than 100
national and international awards including multiple
Emmys and a Peabody award. They have produced
programs that touch the heart and teach the
connection we each have with Earth’s living
resources. They will answer questions after the
film.
Larry Marty of Western Auction Company will conduct
our live auction of fun things to have and do. (1) A
7 night stay for two in Todi, Italy. This Italian
adventure will begin atop a 12 acre villa, Poggio
del Vento, overlooking the beautiful Umbrian
country, outside the town of Todi. This villa
belongs to Jerry Salvatti, a former NYC fashion
photographer and chef. It also includes one cooking
class for 2 and dinner OR a 2 hr. photo class to
improve your photography. Jerry will work with you
to ensure that you have a unique experience not
normally available to tourists. You have 2 years to
book this trip. (2) Gottcha Bug Killer will treat
the perimeter of your home, (3) A weekend at a
lovely beach house on Decatur Island, WA, (4) A
Snohomish Scenic Flight, (5) 2 yards of Bailey’s
Compost, (6) A night’s stay at Carriage House in
Snohomish, (7) A Christmas Tree of your choice from
Wintergreen Tree Farm, (8) 5 yards of gravel from
Riverside Sand & Gravel (9) 6 yards medium bark from
Riverside Topsoils, (10) Movie night basket (11)
Beautiful pot & a $200 Gift Certificate from Machias
Nursery. Plus more items are coming in every day,
so there will be some surprises too!!
Crystal Meadows will orchestrate the Dessert Dash.
If you have never participated in this before, then
you’ve just got to come for this lively event. We
have desserts created by both professional and
amateur chefs.
WE NEED YOUR HELP in supporting a most worthy cause.
These times are difficult for so many, but nobody
should go HUNGRY! Help the people right here in our
